چکیده

Abstract Flood disaster is a common problem, especially in densely populated urban, coastal, and basin areas, respectively. This leads to the development of Mini Polder design, which used solve problem flooding agricultural land. The design projected lebak swamp Ampukung village, Tabalong Regency, Indonesia, covering an area 393 Ha. Therefore, this study aims determine hydraulic performance mini polders flood management, within District, South Kalimantan, Indonesia. Using Hec-RAS planning stage, results showed that dike was produced with elevation width +10.30 4 m, based on Q25th discharge 514.37 m 3 /s. Furthermore, construction channel around land planned as replacement for retention pond, due efficiency excavation stockpiling. also functioned reducer, approached water sources rice fields or community plantations. By excavating existing outlet rehabilitating door building, normalization subsequently carried out. For emergency conditions, portable pump needed supply disposal river, during arrival dry season.

An analysis of hydraulic, environmental and economic impacts of flood polder management at the Elbe River

The paper presents research results on flood risk mitigation by the controlled flooding of a retention area on the middle reaches of the Elbe River. The retention area consists of six large polders and the floodplain of a tributary, the Havel, and is located near the Havel’s confluence with the Elbe River. The total retention volume of both the polders and the Havel floodplain amounts to approx...

Hydraulic aspects of environmental flood management in boreal conditions

In environmental flood management, an essential task is to improve channel conveyance using environmentally preferable methods, which aim to preserve natural morphological and hydraulic characteristics of a river. This requires a reliable channel design method that accounts for complex hydraulics, i.e. two-stage channel or considerable bank vegetation. Hydraulic field measurements were carried ...
